Meadows, Giuliani indicted in Arizona

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani are among the 18 people who have been charged in Arizona for an alleged fake electors scheme to try to overturn the 2020 election. Although some of the defendants' names, including Meadows and Giuliani, were redacted from the court documents, they were identified based on the descriptions. CBS News election law contributor David Becker has more on the case.

D.A. Willis proposes new trial date for Trump

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis asked a judge on Thursday to set a trial date of Oct. 23, 2023, for Donald Trump and the 18 other defendants charged in connection with alleged efforts to overturn the state's 2020 election results. Less than two hours later, Trump's newly appointed attorney informed the court that the former president opposes the Oct. 23 date. Judge denies Meadows' attempt to delay arrest

Rudy Giuliani, former personal attorney for former President Donald Trump, surrendered in Atlanta, Georgia, Wednesday to face racketeering charges in connection with alleged efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in Georgia. Plus, a federal judge denied former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows' attempt to delay his arrest in the case. CBS News congressional correspondent Nikole Killion reports from Fulton County.
