Rams Players Show Support Of Ferguson Demonstrators

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Several members of the St. Louis Rams made a gesture during pre-game introductions to show their support for the many protesters in Ferguson, Mo. Since the shooting death of Michael Brown over the summer, tensions have been high in Ferguson, a city in St. Louis County.

Those tensions reached a boiling point last week when a grand jury announced that Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson would not face trial for his part in Brown's death.

Protesters in the city have been seen on television screens all throughout America and have been analyzed with mixed sentiments.

Rams players Stedman Bailey, Tavon Austin, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and Kenny Britt made their allegiances clear on Sunday as they took the field prior to their game against the Raiders.

The five players held up their hands to mimic the "hands up, don't shoot," gesture adopted by protesters in Ferguson.
