Off-Duty Officer Injured In Cheltenham Motorcycle Crash
CHELTENHAM, Pa. (CBS) -- An off-duty officer driving a motorcycle was injured in a hit and run crash in Montgomery County Monday.
Authorities say the off-duty Philadelphia police officer was struck by a vehicle while riding a motorcycle near Front Street and Dewey Road at about 3:15 p.m. Police say the female driver of the striking vehicle left the scene of the crash, but was stopped a short time later and taken into custody.
The unidentified police officer was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
