A 25-year-old man's skull was fractured after he was hit by a car and the driver fled Saturday morning in North Philadelphia, police said.

According to police, the hit-and-run crash happened just after 2:45 a.m. on the 900 block of Watts Street. The victim was crossing the street when he was hit by a white car driving southbound on Watts Street, police said.

After the collision, the driver sped off heading southbound on Watts Street toward Parrish Street, according to police. Investigators believe the car involved could have been a Jeep.

Police said the victim, who hasn't been identified, also suffered internal bleeding and is in critical condition at Temple University Hospital.

This crash comes just one day after a woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run on the 4800 block of Levick Street in Tacony just after 2 a.m. Friday morning.
