Here's where to recycle your Christmas tree in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Now that the holidays are over, it's time to take down the Christmas tree.
In Philadelphia, you can recycle your tree starting Tuesday, Jan. 2.
From now through Jan. 13, you can take your tree to one of the city's tree drop-off locations or sanitation convenience centers.
The trees have to be untied and you need to remove all of the decorations, lights and ornaments.
Recycled trees are sent to a vendor that chips them up as a bulking agent for composting.

Philly Goat Project
Did you know your Christmas tree could be also be a tasty snack for some local goats? The Philly Goat Project is now collecting retired Christmas trees for snacks for their animals.
If the goats don't eat the trees, the group says they'll be turned into wood chips to cover trails and gardens throughout the city.
All you have to do is make a $20 donation and you can drop off your tree at The Farm at Awbury Arboretum this Saturday, Jan. 6 or the following Saturday, Jan. 13.
The group will also be collecting trees at Laurel Hill West Cemetery on Jan. 20.
The city has additional community collection events for Christmas trees that ask for a monetary donation ranging from $5 to $20 depending on the event organizer.
