FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) -- Dr. Augustine Bollo took the stand Thursday in the trial accusing him of molesting his babysitter.

Testifying in a Broward court room, he called the 19-year-old victim's accusations a fabrication. She was 15 at the time of the alleged incidents.

On the stand, Bollo tried to discredit the babysitter's family as money hungry, saying he consistently helped them financially, including thousands of dollars in medical treatment.

He also attempted to paint the teenager as promiscuous and said his children never liked her because she ignored them.

Bollo's children are expected to testify.

According to the police report, they were in the room watching television with Bollo and the babysitter during the alleged sexual misconduct.

The victim told police Bollo had one of the children bring him a blanket, in which he placed over his lap, and later forced the babysitter to touch him.

On a video that was secretly recorded by the Broward Sheriff's Office, Bollo said what happened was incidental and first occurred while the teenager was tickling the children. He said it happened a second time by accident, as well.

He faces up to 15 years in prison, if convicted.
