Another work week is in the books, and now it's time to celebrate your much-deserved downtime. This weekend, the Philadelphia area is starting to ring in the holiday spirit with the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market kicking off. Plus, the city is celebrating the arts with the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show, The Art of the Brick's final weekend at The Franklin Institute and "Hamilton" live at the Academy of Music.

Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market at Dilworth Park

Christmas time is here! Well, kind of. It may just be November, but walk by Dilworth Park this weekend and you're sure to get in the holiday spirit. The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market is back in town starting Friday and isn't going anywhere anytime soon. The holiday market at Dilworth Park features local vendors selling gifts for everyone on your list. This year, the holiday market features new white huts, extra twinkling lights and illuminated stars to give you that holiday spirit all season long. The Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market is in town now through Jan. 1.

The market is open every day except Christmas. Hours differ depending on the day you choose to visit. 

  • Sunday - Thursday: 12 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • Friday - Saturday: 12 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Thanksgiving Day: 9 a.m.  - 5 p.m.
  • Christmas Eve: 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Germantown Night Market

Take a walk through Germantown's Night Market at the Maplewood Mall this Saturday evening and enjoy a delicious treat, live music and some good vibes.

Germantown's inaugural night market runs from 4 to 9 p.m. and will feature local vendors, food trucks, and live tunes to strut to while you walk through the market. 

Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show

The Philadelphia Museum of Art, or PMA, Contemporary Craft Show is taking over the Pennsylvania Convention Center all weekend long bringing 195 of the nation's greatest artists to Philadelphia.

Art fan favorites like Morgan SimsMaria Albornoz, Lisa Belsky, Teresa Chang, Yuliya Wolf and Stacey Lee Webber will all be featured with their varieties of creative expressions. There will also be jewelry, leatherwork and glass being showcased by 24 artists from Italy.

Celebrate art in all of its mediums this weekend at the 48th annual Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show. The craft show runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The PMA Craft Show will be held in Exhibit Hall F at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. One-day tickets start at $20, and two-day tickets are available for $25.

"Hamilton" at the Academy Of Music

"Hamilton" takes center stage at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia next week

Catch a performance of the hit musical, "Hamilton" at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia now through Nov. 23. The iconic show is known for blending music genres from hip-hop and jazz to Broadway show tunes while telling the story of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

Witness the passionate story of "Hamilton" in a way you never have before as the Founding Father navigates his way to finding honor, love and ultimately leaving a historical legacy. 

"Hamilton" has several performances this weekend including Saturday at 1:30 p.m., Saturday at 7:30 p.m., Sunday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at 7 p.m.

Ticket prices vary online.

Philly Wine Fest: Fall Edition

Stimulate all your senses at the Philly Wine Fest: Fall Edition this weekend at the Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia in South Philly.

On Saturday, join an elevated wine-tasting experience with options of early admission and general admission between three sessions.

Tickets for general admission start at $39 and tickets for early admission start at $59.

Here are the breakdowns of each session:

  • Session 1 General Admission: 1 p.m.-3 p.m. | Session 1 Early Admission: noon-3 p.m.
  • Session 2 General Admission: 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. | Session 2 Early Admission: 3:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m.
  • Session 3 General Admission: 8 p.m.-10 p.m. | Session 3 Early Admission: 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

Sabers vs. Flyers at Wells Fargo Center

The Philadelphia Flyers are set to take on a feisty Buffalo Sabers team in South Philly. 

After Thursday night's comeback victory that came off the back of rookie phenom Matvei Michkov's overtime heroics, the Wells Fargo Center is sure to be rocking.

The Flyers have now won two in a row and looking to secure their third Saturday at 7 p.m.

Tickets are going for as low as $38.

Last chance to see: The Art of the Brick at The Franklin Institute 

The humble Lego steals the spotlight at The Franklin Institute for one final weekend as The Art of the Brick ends its several months-long stay. The exhibit is set to leave The Franklin Institute on Sunday so it's time to get your visit in while you still can!

LEGO exhibit The Art of the Brick returns to Franklin Institute


The show features more than 100 creations, made entirely of Lego bricks by artist Nathan Sawaya. Visitors can also view galleries full of Lego versions of some of the world's most famous masterpieces, including Van Gogh's Starry Night and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa.  After exploring the exhibit's galleries, guests can explore a 9,000-square-foot brick play space and build their own creations using hundreds of thousands of colorful bricks.

Children and adult ticket prices for the exhibit only start at $20. Tickets to the exhibit plus museum access for adults start at $43 and $39 for children.

The National Dog Show at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center

Although it won't air on TV until Thanksgiving, you can witness the majesty of the canine at The National Dog Show this weekend in Oaks, Pennsylvania. The National Dog Show is bringing up to 2,000 of the nation's top American Kennel Club-sanctioned dogs to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center and you're welcome to be a part of it. 

Watch 205 breeds and varieties of dogs compete for titles like Best of Breed, First in Group and of course, Best in Show. 

Humans are welcome to buy tickets to watch but sadly, ticketholders will have to leave their dogs home. The National Dog Show runs from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Tickets for adults start at $20 and children's tickets start at $10. Children three years old and younger can enter for free. 

National Dog Show returns to Oaks, Pennsylvania

Chief Keef's "A Lil Tour" at The Filmore Philadelphia

From the Windy City, rapper Chief Keef will be at The Filmore Philadelphia on Tuesday, Nov. 19 for "A Lil Tour" with Lil Gnar and The Glo Boyz.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show is expected to start at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $75 for standing admission up to $211 for an Official Platinum seat. Prices can change.

The nationwide tour started in San Francisco in October with the last show before Thanksgiving in Washington, D.C.

Chief Keef released his fifth album "Almighty So 2" in May with features such as Philly's own Tierra Whack, Sexyy Red and Quavo.
